If you didn’t know, you can see more of our videos on our Vimeo account. Below are a couple of our latest projects.

These two short films were shot for 121 Community Church. They were shot with the Canon 7D and 5D. The lenses used were a Canon 70-200mm f2.8 and Canon 17-55mm f2.8. We typically always use a ND fader when shooting outside. If you don’t have an ND Fader in your bag…GET ONE! They are amazing. I’ll blog about it another time. We also used a 4′ Cobra Crane to give a little bit of movement. Personally, I am getting a bit tired of the slider/dolly movement, and have become fond of the short jib movements. Anyway, here’s some of my latest work…

These two shorts were graded with Magic Bullet’s Looks, and I added some lens flares from the Knoll Light Factory plugins. A little back story on these videos, is that the actors are my neighbors. These two videos were last minute ideas, and I had no time to get real actors. But when shooting projects like this, it is easy to get “real” people, and put them in “real” situations and just let them react how they will. Your job is to simply capture it. That is why it is always best to have 2 cameras rolling on these types of projects.

The song in the first short film is by the late Nick Drake. And the song in the second short film is by my friend David Ramirez.
