Pocket Full of Rocks is a Christian worship band out of Texarkana, Texas. A few years ago Pocket was nominated for a Dove award for new artist of the year. Unblind first hooked up with Pocket in 2002 to shoot a live concert. We shot that concert on Beta SP, and had a few Canon XL1’s on hand. Wow! Beta SP… being that was only 8 years ago, Beta SP seems ancient. Anyway, since we have been producing random videos for them over the years. Read the rest of the article to see a clip from that concert.
Our current project is to produce a few videos highlighting their latest album. In March, 2010, we shot their CD release concert for that album. It was a great concert, saw lots of old friends. We produced the backgrounds for their double-wide projection, and we shot our footage with our Canon 7D. We edited in Final Cut and Motion. Other gear used on the shot was an Igus DLSR slider, IDC follow focus, and a homemade steadicam. Check back in a couple of weeks…..we’ll be posting some videos from the CD release.
