So we decided to produce a short film for the IKAN Short Film Contest, but in doing so, we decided to make it a real challenge. First, to shoot with the Canon 1D Mk IV. Secondly, to add in our own low/no budget visual effects. Unblind is in no way a CGI visual effects house, so this should be fun…or I mean interesting.
The biggest hurdle was trying to rent a 1D in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It seemed like no one had one. But eventually we found one at Bolt Productions. For our gear, we used a JAG35 shoulder mount rig, and all Canon primes. Our visual effects were created with the help of Video Co-Pilot, and Detonation Films.
Stay tuned…
