I have always hated the way FCP makes your scroll through all your fonts to get the one that you want at the bottom of the list. I wish you could scroll through it like you can in Apple’s Motion. Well, this might not be news to some of you, but it has opened a whole new world to me.
Basically if you have the font drop down in the text layer, as you begin to scroll down you can hit a letter on the keyboard that will make your font choice jump down the list. For example, if you want the font Helvetica, instead of scroll to the “H’s”, just hit the “H” key on the keyboard…boom! There you are at the first font that starts with the letter “H.”
Where have you been for the past 10 years!!! Why did I not know this!
